You're uneasy from page one all the way through to the end of this 400+ page collection. Junji Ito being both transgressive and funny is a good time, and Strange Hizikuri Siblings definitely isn’t filler to pad out Lovesickness and still features horror elements like creepy eyes and facial expressions and a haunted house chase sequence. I'd compare it to a roller coaster, but there's rarely a down moment. It’s heavy on existential horror, and it also includes moments of absurdity and dark humor that are both confounding and entertaining.
